The Present is a unique item.

The Present's "shop entered" effect sets your gold to 0. It removes unused gold from the previous round. The effect can be sorted to activate before other "shop entered" effects like Piggybank by ordering the sequence the items are placed into the backpack. To move an item's "shop entered" effect to the end, move the item into the storage and back into the backpack. If Piggybanks activate after the Present, you will have a few gold as you enter the shop.
